The type of fire extinguisher
sign depends on the application. The most commonly used signs are;
Direct Arrow Signs (directly above extinguisher), Directional Signs
(extinguisher around corner), Projecting Sign (sticks out, seen from
multiple directions). Placement & Visibility Rules OSHA/NFPA is
a requirement for all businesses.
What type & size of
vehicle bracket is right for a small vehicle ?
All company vehicles require a
fire extinguisher (Per DOT). The extinguisher must be securely
fastened to avoid injury in the case of a collision. The
size and type of bracket for your vehicle will depend on the size
and type of extinguisher your required to carry. The
most common extinguisher used in company vehicles is a 2 1/2lb ABC.
A standard 2 1/2lb vehicle bracket or a spring clip vehicle bracket
would be recommended. The transport of hazardous or flammable
materials would require a much larger extinguisher.
